Of knights and warriors

Some people will say it’s just my luck
While the others always have rainbows and butterflies
What happens when the former meets the latter
That’s what happened most of the time at birthday parties and wedding dinners
Comparisons shouldn’t be made as it’ll leave the former torn and tattered
Unfortunately, the former is lost for direction at this point of time
To slow down and enjoy the breeze or speed thru and head for the ultimate goal
The two lamps planted at the road side have been extinguished
In pursue of their complementary bulb
With no light source and pavement, how does the former find its way out of the wildwood
Is there any lamp that can be picked up nearby
